\nThe guerrilla swamp behind WIELS and BRASS is well worth exploring \u2013 and protecting.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

On the banks of the Marais WIELS, L\u2019\u00c9caill\u00e8re has awaken: a giant fish, a gentle guardian of the water, woven from stories, willow branches, metal and colourful fabric.<\/p>\n

Layer by layer, this artwork took shape. Residents, children, local organisations and passers-by were working together to create a living skin from recycled materials and plants harvested from the Marais. Every knot, every plait and every piece of fabric made the fish a little stronger.<\/p>\n

Within the installation, you\u2019ll find a place to settle down, listen, play or simply be still for a while. Settle down on the soft grass, sheltered from the sun. Listen to the swamp. Perhaps it will whisper a story back.<\/p>\n

\u2605 More about the theatre company: <\/strong>CYCL.ONE (@collectif_cycl.one)<\/a>, a collective of creative makers and artists from Brussels, explores public space as a giant playground. With expertise in textiles and traditional techniques, they create monumental, colourful and quirky works.<\/p>\n
