Urban laboratory

experimenting with different methods of collaboration 

Park Poétik is an urban laboratory that experiments with innovative, hybrid and cooperative organisational structures and methods of collaboration. This allows each person to find their place. In this way, we create space and leave the organisation of the festival in the hands of the poétikizen·n·e·s. 

We start from the idea of the atomium model, in which the different parts of Park Poétik form an autonomous “atomium sphere”. Each part: 

• evolves organically in relation to its environment
• sets its own priorities, both in terms of the composition of the group and the methods or focus
• determines its own commitment and role**
• is evaluated separately according to the principle of an hourglass: we collect a wide range of ideas, make choices, implement them and then encourage new encounters in order to repeat the whole process, etc. 

**The people who shape Park Poétik take on different roles , as dreamcatchers or concept creators, as volunteer and/or as artist. Each person takes on one or more roles, regardless of their status or position, whether they are a resident, artist, volunteer or work for an organisation or local authority. The poétikizen·n·e·s are supported by the coordination team, process facilitators who prepare the meetings and provide production and administrative support.
