For all ages

Klankenfiets is a musical exploration where the bicycle is transformed into a sound instrument. Arthur Lacomme turns a bicycle upside down, fits it with contact microphones and takes the audience on a journey through unexpected soundscapes: plucking the spokes with your fingers, rubbing a bow on the brake cable, tapping the frame or tyre with a stick... there are so many different ways to make a bicycle “sing”!

During this workshop, you will be able to listen to the results, but also and above all to learn about music with bikes. You can even try it out with your own bike!

18:00 RADIO POÉTIK – LIVE

Radio Poétik will be there to create a blueprint of your neighborhood. We go live at 6 p.m., but we'll be there from 3 p.m. and are curious to hear your story. Come and join us. There is music, there are workshops and the poetry of the city is never far away.

At 18:00 we continue with Radio Poétik, a live radio broadcast from a little blue caravan. Musical, touching and fun. Come have your say!

Sébastien Stroobants and Arthur Lacomme form a surprising duo: their music is a cross between the effects of guitar strings and the bicycle as a sound instrument. This creates rhythms and melodies that transport the audience to a new sound spectrum: music is everywhere.
