Radio Mangoboom [MIRO]
★ A fold-out ‘chat tree’ on wheels that transforms public spaces into places for meeting, storytelling and dialogue ★
A brand-new radiotool on wheels
Three live radio sessions on 17 July, 23 July and 28 August
Intergenerational and across municipal boundaries
Seniors of centre Close Bizet & MIRO take their seats in Park Poétik’s brand-new radio van for a lively live radio broadcast. Five young people from Anderlecht put it all together themselves. Together with artist Precy Numbi, they transform a red cargo bike into a futuristic radio van on wheels. Built entirely from recycled materials such as plastic baskets, they’ll be getting to work at the Flemish-African centre Kuumba. Together with radio host Erykah, they’ve devised the content for the radio episode and are also taking charge of the set-up and technical aspects.
With Radio Mangoboom, young and old will engage in conversation about themes from the past and present, whilst their voices are broadcast live in Brussels.
