Mouths & Ears invites the public to play with words in the urban space. A large mouth unfurls its five-metre-long tongue, on which anyone can write a sentence beginning with ‘I say…’. Next to it, small closed mouths welcome the things we dare not or cannot say. Opposite, a giant ear catches the echoes : ‘I hear…’.

Little by little, the surfaces become covered with messages and transform into a collective landscape of voices. A lively, participatory and poetic installation that turns the street into a space for dialogue.

★ More about the artist: Oranne Mounition (lesateliersdeoranne.e-monsite.com & www.orannemysite.com) is a multidisciplinary visual artist who turns recycling into a driving force for creativity. She creates bespoke artworks and installations, inspired by strong values: the environment, climate change, inclusion and equality. With a collaborative and deeply human approach, she creates works that bring people together, provoke thought and inspire.
