Transmigration, Precy Numbi

Transmigration is een ambulante voorstelling, een mars naar het Westen, de bestemming van DREAMS… Een heroïsche oversteek, een droom, een imaginaire reis.
Een opofferingsvoorstelling die het heroïsche gebaar benadrukt en op symbolische wijze de risico’s toont, de gebaren van collectief verzet van migranten die haast hebben om hun land van herkomst te verlaten.
In Afrika, in het geheim van de nacht, horen de pirogues verdwaald in het midden van de Zwarte Atlantische Oceaan het geroezemoes, de stemmen en de zielen van de miljoenen ontheemde, vermiste, anonieme mensen die vanaf de tijd van de Driehoek tot aan de clandestiene emigratie op zee verloren zijn gegaan.
Maar wie van ons, de levenden, luistert nog naar en schenkt aandacht aan deze stemmen, deze wanhoop, deze fragiele existenties? Met een schommel van zeer groot formaat in het bospark, op het kruispunt tussen het onmogelijke spel en de heldendroom, onthult beeldend kunstenaar Precy Numbi (Kinshasa – Brussel) een ruimte waar de communicatie van wind en tijd ons bereikt.

La Transmigration est une performance déambulatoire, une marche vers l’Occident, destination de RÊVES … Une traversée héroïque, un rêve, un voyage imaginaire.

Une performance sacrifices, qui met en valeur le geste héroïque et montre symboliquement les risques, les gestes de résistance collective poussé par les migrants qui sont dans l’urgence de quitter leur pays d’origine.

En Afrique, dans le secret de la nuit, les pirogues perdues au milieu de l’Atlantique Noir, entendent les bruissements, les voix et les âmes des millions de personnes déplacées, disparues, anonymes, perdues en mer depuis l’époque du Triangle jusqu’à l’émigration clandestine.

Pourtant, qui parmi nous, les vivants, prête encore écoute et attention à ces voix, à ce désespoir, à ces existences fragiles ? Par un dispositif en très grand format en forme de balançoire installé dans le parc de forest, situé à la jonction entre le jeu impossible et le rêve héroïque, l’artiste visuel Precy Numbi (Kinshasa – Bruxelles) laisse à voir un espace où la communication du vent, du temps nous parvient.

Transmigration is an ambulatory performance, a march towards the West, a destination of DREAMS… A heroic crossing, a dream, an imaginary journey.
A sacrificial performance that highlights the heroic gesture and symbolically shows the risks and gestures of collective resistance put forward by migrants in the urgency of leaving their homeland.
In Africa, in the secrecy of the night, the pirogues lost in the middle of the Black Atlantic, hear the murmurs, voices and souls of millions of displaced, missing, anonymous people lost at sea from the time of the Triangle to clandestine emigration.
Yet who among us, the living, still listens and pays attention to these voices, to this despair, to these fragile existences? With a very large-format swing set up in the forest park, at the junction between the impossible game and the heroic dream, visual artist Precy Numbi (Kinshasa – Brussels) reveals a space where the communication of wind and time reaches us.
