Photographer Vincen Beeckman captures the contemporary inhabitants of Brussels, urban life and the evolution of iconic buildings and neighbourhoods.
Vincen does not take pictures about people, but with the people who appear in front of his lens. This creates a special connection between the photographer and the photographed, between the viewer and the photos.
This leads to a sweet, funny, sometimes bitter and hard, but always honest portrait of Brussels and the people who make Brussels what it is; diverse, surreal, a cosmopolitan merry-go-round of images and feelings.
With the Park Poétik visitor (yes, you !) Vincen wants to make this connection even more visible. Together with him you can paste photos on large columns and in the meantime have a chat about what makes Brussels so special and unique to you.
